Multi-tender payments are fully supported — split a transaction between cash, card, SINPE Móvil, and bank transfer in a single checkout. The system automatically calculates change due.
Electronic receipts and invoices from the sales screen
Costa Rica requires businesses to issue electronic tax documents for every sale. The Kontafico POS handles this automatically. For anonymous retail sales, it issues electronic receipts (type 04). When the customer provides a tax ID, it switches to a full electronic invoice (type 01).
Both document types are signed with your company's .p12 digital certificate and submitted to Hacienda in real time. The customer can receive a printed thermal receipt or a copy by email.
Offline mode for unstable connections
Internet connectivity in Costa Rica can be unreliable, especially outside the GAM. The Kontafico POS includes a native offline mode that keeps the register running when connectivity drops.
Sales are stored locally in the browser and synced automatically when the connection is restored. Electronic documents are issued in batch upon sync, so nothing is lost.
Shift management and cash reconciliation
Every cashier opens a shift with an opening cash count. All transactions are recorded by payment method throughout the shift. At closing, the cashier counts the cash drawer and the system instantly shows the difference versus expected.
X Reports (current shift summary) and Z Reports (end-of-shift closing) are standard. Both can be printed on the thermal printer or exported as PDF.
Inventory integration
Every POS sale decrements inventory in real time. Product kits automatically reduce each component's stock. If a product runs low, the dashboard widget alerts the team immediately.
When a supplier invoice arrives in the Received Invoices inbox and is accepted, the stock increments automatically — closing the inventory loop without manual data entry.
