Categories and Price Lists

How to organize products by category and create differentiated price lists for wholesalers, VIP customers, and the general public.

Creating product categories

Categories let you organize your product catalog into logical groups. Go to Inventory → Categories and create as many categories as your business needs.

You can nest categories into subcategories for more complex structures, for example: Clothing → Shirts → Formal Shirts.

Assigning color and icon

Each category can have a visual color and icon to identify it quickly in the POS and inventory views. This is especially useful when you have a large catalog and need to find products quickly.

Colors and icons are displayed on the POS sales screen to facilitate touch navigation.

Price lists (wholesale, VIP, public)

You can create multiple price lists for the same product. For example, a public retail list, a wholesale list, and a VIP list for special customers.

Each price list can have fixed prices per product or percentage discounts on the base price. Prices update across all POS terminals where the list is assigned.

  • Public price (default list)
  • Wholesale price (volume discount)
  • VIP price (special customers)
  • Custom list per customer or group

Assigning a price list to a POS terminal

In each POS terminal settings you can define which price list applies. This way, Register 1 can sell at public price while the Wholesale Register applies the discount list.

The cashier can also manually switch the price list for a specific customer if they have permission.
